Hilton Hotel chain two legged guests share a room with their four legged friends. Pets get special treats, and their very own pillow.
"They are just as much a part of the family as a child, or an uncle, or any other member of the family and we want them to be just as comfortable," said Julie Torres.
More and more hotels are becoming pet-friendly, making it easier to bring your beloved pet on a family vacation.
Pet-friendly hotels run the gamut from budget options like the Econo Lodge and Best Western to fancier chains like the Ritz-Carlton and aforementioned Hilton.
"The price can differ a lot. Some rooms [charge] $25 dollars a night for your pet, others a lot more," said Consumer Reports' Tod Marks.
And there can be other hotel pet expenses, such as a refundable $100 deposit, or you may be required to accept financial liability for any damage caused by your pets.
And some charge a $100 cleaning fee.
Marks says it's important to check with the hotel and find out the specifics.
"Because while many chains are pet-friendly, not all hotels within that chain accept pets. So you need to call ahead and find out if there are any restrictions," he said.
Some of those restrictions include weight, size, and breed restrictions.
But don't give up hope if your pet doesn't meet the criteria to stay at a particular hotel.
"All isn't lost," said Marks. "It always pays to call ahead. Explain that your dog has a wonderful disposition, wonderful temperament, and you never know -- they might waive these restrictions."
You may need a pet carrier and proof that vaccinations are up to date. But once Fifi or Fido gets the green light, some hotels offer amenities like dog sitting and even massage.
